Within my practice, I create large-scale sculptural installations that consist of a network of willow sticks, meticulously arranged to form a dynamic structure. The willow sticks serve as the foundational framework, symbolising the raw, untamed beauty of the natural world. However, its’ organic structure is juxtaposed with the intervention of human creativity through the application of spray paints. Vibrant bursts of colour adorn the surface of the willow sticks, transforming and manipulating their appearances, imbuing the artworks with a sense of energy and vitality. Infusing natural materials and unnatural chemicals together evoke themes of transformation and interconnectedness, echoing the intricate complexity of the natural world.
