To adorn her hair (close-up).

Gloria Da Silva

BA in Art and Psychology

I am a figure painter who primarily uses acrylic or oil on canvas. A strong motif of platonic intimacy, physical rest and the mundane flow through my paintings. I am drawn to human interactions and creating a narrative story lead by gaze and body language. Motivated to discover my Angolan heritage, I began reading ‘Poems from Angola’ by Michael Wolfers, many of the titles are excerpts from
the poems.
